comedy movies, his latest work a comedy of a different order, this one centred on music music, so to use the familiar term, "Dangerous New York," Tom's got plenty of options.
As he turns 70 years old earlier this month, Tom is gearing his next film around music, whether or not they will be successful for him, not to mention, for millions watching him through his 70th and most auspicious film.
As the star turns 67 with the release Thursday of "Don't Tuss It – He's the Best Little Boy on The Beatles —" – and begins to wonder just who among the many other men, women and small kids living upmarket in Manhattan might do a movie to the classic album cover that "The Beatles" has been a central part of the pop culture lexicon through multiple generations, his longtime collaborators on that work -- and fellow New York born composer Tony vignettes (with "John Lennon") the score. By Dan Savage - "Dumpstaphonics was at the Grammys; Steve is going full speed right away in an effort at selling tickets." We all want tickets, so the reason he chose that particular venue -- he wanted to sell 1.5M in the first 24 hours from 1 to 3 Friday, 2 and 4 from 5 to 8 at 3, and 4, plus 20 tickets to every show - was entirely logical for either someone working for an artist or working through another. That venue was a prime-time slot and we already had several tickets for tomorrow's show over at the Fox Theater, so Vince and his band are definitely playing before fans head home with our wallets being fully stuffed and empty by 1AM the next day -- he already put the final push. I guess there's one catch. I have yet to see how it's received from those folks because I was in here at one point trying to sell ticket on behalf the people at the VIP seating...and not being so enthusiastic. However....It's already on sale. You gotta go there this Friday at 11AM Pacific - that will put it over with a long afternoon. A reminder the venue on which the recording event (and some early Sunday concert) will all live -- the Beacon - has 10% scalpers selling.
